A question about the safety of mince.?

i got out mince from the freezer yesterday morning and left it the whole day to defrost, that i night i decided i didnt need to use it so i put it back in the freezer.. will it be safe to cook now as i am keen to munch on this mince but im not going to risk being sick.. i need an accurate answer please.
