Wearing a veil at your wedding...?

Does everyone wear a veil at their wedding? I don't plan on wearing one, I plan on just wearing a fancy clip in my hair in the back... I am also getting married at a courthouse but I am still wearing a wedding dress etc... Just not doing the veil thing. So I'm wondering if it's common that people don't wear veils?
