Very Important Please Help Me..?

Okk So I'm best friends with a guy and at first he liked me at the beginning of the school year but I didn't like him like that and I told him so..I ended up with his friend though. Now I really like him and I don't know if I should tell him or if he even still likes me. He is always talking about how good I look and gets mad when I'm down on myself. He even buys my lunch sometimes because he hates that I don't eat. He says he would like me if we weren't just friends but Idk how to interpret that. What do you think this means? Do you think he likes me? Should I tlak to him about it?
